Dinosaurs Alive	Welcome to Dinosaurs Alive! If you're interested in introducing your K-6 students to an Internet research project that has simple yet compelling parameters, use this dinosaur unit to explore the World Wide Web. Each participating classroom adopts a dinosaur to research. Our guided explanations, Web links and teaching activities give you a full hands-on teaching unit, with the Internet integrated into the process. This interactive Internet class uses dinosaurs to teach scientific research techniques and to share science as an ongoing process. The course focuses on a different aspect of dinosaurs research in each unit, and gives students a chance to conduct their own uncovering of facts and hypothesis as each classroom "adopts" a dinosaur species and works to research their animal in the library and on the World Wide Web.
enchanted learning	Zoom Dinosaurs is a comprehensive on-line hypertext book about dinosaurs. It is designed for students of all ages and levels of comprehension. It has an easy-to-use structure that allows readers to start at a basic level on each topic, and then to progress to much more advanced information as desired, simply by clicking on links. These links will tell you about anatomy, classification, fossils, extinction, and lots of classroom actrivities.
A to Z Teacher Stuff: Resources	From A to Z Teacher Stuff, is a page specifically gears toward young children from preschool to grade 3. Included are songs, poems, phonemic awareness activities, math and art activities, center ideas, worksheeps, online activities and lots of other fun things for kids to learn about and do...all relating to DINOSAURS!!
National Geographic Dinosaur Eggs	This site takes you behind the scenes of NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC magazine’s May 1996 article, “The Great Dinosaur Egg Hunt.” Go on an online egg hunt and catch the excitement of fossil researchers as they “hatch” fossilized dinosaur eggs to reveal the embryos inside. Tour a museum of dinosaur hatchlings, meet the modelers, and review EXPLORER’s television show about the “Dinosaur Hunters” of the Gobi desert.
Dino Russ's Llair	Dino Russ's Lair is a helpful and informative dinosaur site where you can access information about dinosaurs for kids from Kindergarten to College. There is lots of information about dinosaur digs, dinosaur eggs, dinosaur exhibits, dinosaur tracks, dinosaur societies, as well as publications and information about other vertebrates.
Lot's of dinosaur links	The BiblioCat Webpage provides resources for Librarians, School librarians, Library/Media Specialists, Teachers, Parents, and Homeschoolers. In the dinosaur page you will find links to lots of great dinosaur resources including eggs, evolution, crossword puzzles, lesson plans and more. Be sure to look at some of the other resource links on this very extentive site.

The Age of Dinosaurs	The Age of Dinosaurs is a very thorough site, probably geared for older students, but certainly adaptable for younger children. You "meet" the dinosaurs by clicking on a dinosaur on a diorama. You can learn about earth systems during the dinosaur eras and also about dinosaurs, including some speculations about why they became extinct. The are resource pages for teachers and also about NASA's classroom of the future, of which this site is a part.
Club Rex	Welcome to "Club Rex®", the club especially for our young visitors who love dinosaurs! You'll find all kinds of neat and exciting stuff here--like screen savers, dino-facts, games, contests, and more! Tinker" is the nickname of the first juvenile age Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton ever discovered. The name was chosen by the Discovery Team which unearthed the fossil in South Dakota. There is also a teacher's section with accompanying lesson plans
Discovery.com Fossilzone	At the Discoveryzone site see real time video clips that will show you how dinosaurs moved. Explore some of the possible colors of the dinosaur hides (probably a lot more colorful than we might think). Learn about dinosaur behavior and how that behavior parallels the behavior of present day animals. Explore fossils and find out what scientists are learning from them, and play a game that will teach you about life as a dinosaur and how difficult it was for them to survive.

Lesson Plans

Dinosaur Discovery Plan	This Dinosaur Disocovery Lesson Plan site is a well put-together, week-long unit lesson plan geared for primary aged children. The learning objectives are to familiarize children with names, descriptions and habitat of dinosaurs, and help them learn about the search and collection of fossils.
Dinosaur Lesson Plan	This K-6 lesson plan studies the Mesozoic Era and to identify dinosaur species that existed during the three periods of that era (the Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous Periods). Also included are some links to some excellent dinosaur sites.
Dinosaur Lesson (K)	This integrated Kindergarten Dinosaur Lesson posted by the Southwest Educational Development Laboratory is a well puut together lesson that utilizes SDAIE techniques, and is therefore especially valuable for second language learners. There is a Spanish translation of the entire lesson available on this site. The site includes teacher background information andf student lessons on the life cycle of dinosaurs, history, fossils, plant eaters vs. meat eaters and more. Definitely worth a look!
Learning Page Lesson Plans	The Learning Page Dinosaur Lesson Plan is a series of lessons geared for children from Preschool through 2nd grade. It includes lesson plans for a variety of categories of information about dinosaurs, books resources, downloadable acitivities and much more.
I Dig Dinosaurs	At the I Dig Dinosaurs site students participate in a group "fossil" dig, learn how dinosaurs are named, and create images of dinosaurs. They will gain a greater understanding of what archeologists do and just how difficult it is to remove fossils from the ground. Also the children will learn about HOW dinosaurs are named.
Dinosaurs thematic unit	The objectives of this Primary Level Dinosaurs Thematic Unit include identifying at least ten different dinosaurs and name them, explaining the difference between plant-eating dinosaurs and meat-eating dinosaurs, explaining how scientists know as much as they do about dinosaurs, describing the period of time when dinosaurs lived on earth, identifying dinosaurs that lived on land versus prehistoric creatures that lived in the sea or flew in the air, and comparing various sizes, weights, and body shapes of dinosaurs.
1st Grade math Games	There are 20 different dinosaur math activity sheets to choose from. You do the math problems on a printed copy of the math page and them substitute a letter for each number to answer the dinosaur question on each one.

Virtual Tours and Games

Ask Jeeves	Ask Jeeves is always a wonderful source for information, and it certainly is here for dinosaurs. From this site you can learn what dinosaurs are, when and where they lived, their history and extinction, some quizes you can take about what you have learned and a link to a virtual field museum tour of dinosaurs and animated videos that help you learn lots of things abvout them.
Dinosaur Sounds	Although dinosaurs have long been extinct and we cannot know exactly how they sounded, scientists have been studying the skulls of dinosaur to determine possible sounds they might have made. You can hear some of these dinosaur sounds at this site
Build a Dinosaur	At this Build a Dinosaur Site, also from discovery zone, you can use you mouse to move the "bones" around until they form the skeleton of a dinosaur
Dinosaur Games	At the dino-games site there are on-line crossword puzzles as well as printable ones, there is a word scramble game, and a page full of dino trivia infomation where if you select the right answer you will hear the dinosaur ROAR!!! Have fun!!
Jigsaw Puzzle	At this site you can find several dinosaur jigsaw puzzles that you can solve on-line, some easy and some a little hard
Word Search Puzzle	Find all the hidden words in this word search puzzle. Just click your mouse on the beginning of a word and drag it through the word. Keep going until all the words in the list are gone. Then hit rescramble to play another game. The list and letters will change with each game you play. Have fun!
Dinosaur Memory Game	Here you can find an on-line Dinosaur memory game. Simply click on the squeares in the box and match the pictures in the fewest moves that you can. Click on "refresh" to play again.
Dinosaur Word Search	From Enchanted Learning here is a word search puzzle of the names of various dinosaurs.
T Rex Puzzle	For each question of the T rex puzzle quiz that you answer correctly, you will add another piece to your puzzle. When you have answered all the questions correctly you will have uncovered a pictre of a T Rex dinosaur

Dinosaur Clipart and Art Projects

Download a dinosaur	Designs for easy-to-make paper dinosaurs that you can download from this site and print out on your printer. All that is needed is scissors and glue. Soon your classroom will be overrunning with raptors. How about triceratops with names on them as place settings at a kid's birthday party? Or a 30-minute crafts activity? To download a dinosaur, use whatever way works best for your particular browser, computer, and printer. Basically you either click on the print icon or click your cursor on top of the image and scroll to the "save this image" command, then you can print it out whenever you want.

A lot of very prestigious sources are represented on this beautiful site. Do take the time to look.
